About Linnemann Lawn Care & Landscaping

Linnemann strives to be a professional, full-service company while balancing new growth with continued dedication. The company was started from scratch in 1994 by founder Adam Linnemann. As word of the superior quality spread, the business grew and was incorporated in 2003. In 2008, Linnemann expanded into a custom 6,480 Sq. Ft. facility designed to care for the quality equipment Linnemann relies on as well as an office that is staffed Monday - Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. Our company headquarters is located between Columbia & Waterloo, IL., right in the heart of Monroe County. 
 
Our Team consists of two lawn maintenance crews, two landscape installation crews, an irrigation system department as well as several lawn fertilization and weed control specialists. Other team members include an accounts manager and a sales and production team. We all efficiently travel in signature red vehicles and can be clearly identified by the Linnemann uniforms we wear daily. Customer feedback empowers members to take pride in a job well done. Linnemann's goal is for clients to be proud to say that Linnemann provides services for them.
 
As a member of the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, the Columbia Rotary Club, the Landscape & Nursery Association of Greater St. Louis and a participant of the 'Think Monroe County First' program, Linnemann is committed to local community affairs. The company is also an annual participant in the Monroe County Fair and contributor to the Humane Society of Monroe County, Columbia Khoury League and Backstoppers. 
 
Our President, Adam Linnemann is also a regular columnist for the local newspaper, The Republic-Times. Check out his monthly articles for landscape and gardening tips.

Adam Linnemann - Founder & President
At the age of just 14 years old, Adam started Linnemann Lawn Care & Landscaping back in 1994 with a single push mower, riding lawn mower and wagon. Today, Adam has grown the company to approximately 20 team members with several divisions within Linnemann Lawn Care including 2 Lawn Maintenance Crews, 2 Landscaping Installation Crews, a Fertilization Division and a Irrigation & Landscape Lighting Division. Adam resides in Columbia, IL with his wife Sahra and two sons Nash and Wynn. Adam is a very active Rotarian with the Columbia Rotary Club, involved with the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce, The Nursery & Landscape Association of Greater St. Louis and is also a regular columnist for the Waterloo Republic Times. In Adams spare time, he enjoys working part time as a police officer, spending time with his family and vacationing in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.

 

 

 

Erica Verheggens - Office Coordinator/Marketing Assistant & Director of First Impressions
Erica lives in Waterloo with her husband, Rob and their 3 children, Sage, Mya and Leif. Erica enjoys gardening, floral design, outdoor time and reading when she can! Erica is excited to be a new Linnemann team member and is looking forward to getting to know the Linnemann customers.

 

 



Ken Settle - Sales & Production Manager
Ken is the Sales & Production Manager at Linnemann Lawn Care & Landscaping. He has been in the outdoor green industry for 23 years and has an extensive knowledge of Lawn Irrigation, Landscape Lighting, Drainage Systems and Landscaping. Ken has been married for 26 years and has three daughters. Ken enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

 

 

 

Jon Kohlenberger - Lawn Maintenance Manager
Jon has been with the Linnemann team since 2005, and has cut more than 21,000 lawns since he started! That’s right, 21,000 lawns! Jon's attention to detail will make almost any lawn look like Busch stadium if given the opportunity. In his spare time, Jon enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Cardinal Baseball, Blues Hockey...and sleeping in on rainy days!

 

 

 

Dan Kish - Landscape & Irrigation Manager/Head of Snow & Ice Management
Dan is a graduate of Columbia High School, with a certificate in Electricity and Electronics from Beck Area Career Center. Dan has over 8 years of experience in the irrigation field and 2 years in the landscaping field working alongside his uncle, Ken Settle. In Dan's spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing music with his band.

 

 

 

Jim Berenz - Lawn Care Technician
Jim and his family settled in Waterloo after spending 28 years in the United States Army. Jim enjoys working outdoors and working with people. Jim and his wife Rhonda have been married for almost 30 years and have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. In his spare time, Jim likes to hunt, fish, watch the Green Bay Packers play football and spend time with his family.

 

 

 

Scott Niggli - Lawn Care Technician
Scott has been in the green industry for almost a decade, specializing in lawn care and tree & shrub care. Scott attended SWIC and majored in horticulture. He is state licensed in Illinois and Missouri as a pesticide applicator and in his spare time enjoys fishing, vacationing in Colorado, and spending time with his family and friends.
